London is my favourite place to shop in the world. The stressfulness makes it fun if anything! I went to London to visit my best friend Ria on Wednesday:) She actually lives in Uxbridge, which is an hour or so away from the city centre however we decided to go shopping for the day before going back to hers! First, we headed to Carnaby street to look around the quirky little boutiques and one off vintage shops!
We also came across some Mod shops which I thought were pretty cool!
By the end of our shopping trip my feet were hurting, my shoulder was hurting, my hands were hurting and I generally felt knackered - shopping in London is tiring! On the way back to Ria's we stopped off in Sainsburys and bought LOADS of chinese food and some fruit cider, (Brothers strawberry being my favourite), yum yum!
Despite us both being at University now for a whole academic year, (Ria at Uxbridge and me and Solent), our busy and separate lives meant that this was my first visit to Ria's University halls! Back at hers we prepared our food and sat down to watch the film, 'My sisters keeper' which was good but very sad! I recommend watching it if you fancy a tear jerker anyway! We also watched 'Couples retreat' which was okay but a bit odd and random! I still enjoyed it though because it had Vince Vaughn as one of the main actors.
I was definitely in need of a girly night as Ria and I don't get to have them often which is a shame cos we used to have sleepovers pretty much every weekend when we were younger! Was lovely to see her anyway:)
Firstly, here's a photo of the Alice In Wonderland poster which I bought from HMV last week:)
I also got this cute rainbow top from a Vintage shop for £5! Thought it would look nice tucked into high waited shorts:)
I went in to town the other day with my friend Emily, (she had birthday money to spend)! I don't generally shop in Primark because firstly, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a label snob - I love my Topshop/Urban Outfitters etc...and find that the quality of Primark clothing just isn't the same! Secondly, if you buy from Primark everyone will have the same dress as you within the week...I do find however that it good for accessories:)
This pack of earrings was only £1.50, (I apologise for the lemon yellow coloured ones not being shown in the photo as I have left them at a friends). I was in need of earrings because I am forever loosing them and as pastel/ice cream colours are in this summer I thought they would be a good purchase! I also got a ring for £2.00 and a pair of simple pumps to wear throughout summer as I don't really like wearing sandals!
From the shop 'Goldstone' I bought these lovely blue rose earings for £2...I'm tempted to go back and get the baby pink version as well!
Emily got a nice cream and brown dress from there also. I'm not a fan of the clothing in there as I find the sizing very odd - it's as if i'm too tall for most of the dresses but i'm only 5'7"! My final buy was a floral top from River Island (£9.99). I thought that the price was very reasonable and I also love the colours, very summery!:)
I may go back to River Island soon and buy the denim dress that's in there at the moment to. It buttons all the way down the front and is partially backless. I don't usually wear denim unless it's jeans or shorts but this dress is so cute!
