Winchester fashion week

I've had a wonderful evening spent in Winchester with my friend Jen. After looking around a bit and having a delicious hazelnut hot chocolate in Starbucks, (yum my favourite), we headed over to the Guildhall for Winchester's first fashion week!

Featuring a selection of vintage clothing sourced from Charming Magpie store and many upcoming and talented designers such as Kylie Malcolm, Winchester fashion week was an overall fun and family friendly event:)

New shoes AND new hair.

So yesterday I went shopping with my Mum who's visiting and not only did I buy new boots and a sewing machine, (YAY), but I also got some brown hair dye...scary stuff for a bleach blonde!!

So, here are my new boots...and this is my new hair. Hope you like them both!!

New look £25

Fearne Cotton Baker Block Heel Suede Ankle Boots from Very.co.uk

This weekend I received a parcel from Very.co.uk containing these beautiful navy and black suede ankle boots by Fearne Cotton. I was extremely impressed with the speed of delivery - I ordered them on Thursday evening and had them Saturday morning!

Although the sizing seems a little large so they feel a bit loose on me, (could be due to my ridiculously narrow feet though!), they're absolutely beautiful and really unique! I instantly fell in love with them when I saw them on the website...and then again when I put them on for the first time!

Grease the musical

On Friday night I went to see Grease at the Mayflower theatre in Southampton. I've loved the story since I was a little girl and so as soon as the show started, happy feelings of childhood came flooding back!

The characters were well cast and very talented, the lighting was impressive and it was an overall charming performance with something for all ages - there was a lot of sexual reference which surprised me!

My favourite song was summer loving, (classic!), and Greased lightning was also really 'wow'. A Grease dress up night may be in order soon...maybe for my birthday hmmmm.

Today I went to Winchester

Black moleskin trousers £4 Cancer Research

 Green blouse £3.00

Purple power jacket £5.00

Winchester is certainly an excellent place to bag a bargain! It's a beautiful city and the charity shops have lovely stock. Furthermore I visited the shop 'Charming magpie' for the first time which is a cute little vintage shop hidden away down a pretty street and my friend also showed me an incredible book store in the cathedral where half the stock is outside! It was a palace of fascinating books; old and new! And very cheap :) I bought The Shadow of the wind for 50p, as I've recently read a book by the same author.
