NO GLASSES & A CENTER PART

When I was 16-years-old my eyesight started to deteriorate and I've spent pretty much everyday since hiding behind rather large spectacles. My glasses have become a security blanket, as well as my statement look of course, which allow me to fake confidence and hide my tired eyes from the judgmental stares of strangers. I really do feel naked without them.

I have thought about laser eye surgery in the past, I love my glasses but let's face it, it's a nuisance needing to wear something bulky on your face all of the time. I find it particularly annoying during summer when I wish I could just pop on a pair of sunglasses, or when I want to lie down and watch a film but can't without plastic frames digging into the side of my head.... there are many reasons why laser treatment would be beneficial, but despite these I just don't feel ready to let go of my favourite fashion accessory yet. Maybe one day!

If you were interested yourself though, then I've been looking into the LASEK eye surgery that Optical Express offer; the proceedure is explained on the website and you can also book a free consultation. Visit them here to find out more information!

  2. I know what you mean about glasses. Those two examples are seriously the most annoying part about glasses. I also hate in the winter when I go from cold to hot quickly and my glasses fog up for a few minutes. Or walking in the rain. I am far too scared to try laser eye surgery... I've never tried contacts, either, but I feel they would be a bit of a hassle as well.

    1. Oh goodness, how could I have forgotten about the old foggy eyes on the train!?! So embarrassing when the train is so packed I can't even wipe them so I can see...I just stand there like a loser with steamed up glasses, ha!

  3. I forgot to say - you look really gorgeous without glasses! I'm so used to seeing you with glasses though, so it was a bit of a shock! You have really lovely eyes.

  4. I have a sort of similar story to you- I'm 17 right now and started wearing glasses every day when I was about 16. Well, I wear them whenever I go outside my house, I can cope with slightly blurry vision and not being able to read things from a distance in the comfort of my home. One day I'll try and have laser eye surgery, for now I'm considering contacts.
    Love your outfit! xx

  6. The outfit is so nice! I love the sock and heels look! Maybe I should try it after all...

I actually wear contacts, but I still love to wear my glasses most of the time. I have this theory that if I wear big glasses nobody will notice that I was to lazy to put on makeup before uni :D

  11. Gorgeous outfit and you look amazing without glasses (and with!). I wear glasses and contacts but would like to look into laser eye surgery even if it is quite daunting.
